TUKIR

Tukir is quality home garment brand exclusively made in Japan. The aim is to show the beauty of the aging process of fabric and garments. In Tamil, Tukir is the color of the Nipponia Nippon, an endangered specie of bird. It also has the same pronunciation as the word "time"  in ancient Japanese. Tukir has a focus on deep sustainable research. Together with their niche Japanese textile company, they researched and tested the aging of the garments over the course of years. They use pre-industrial fabric manufacturing techniques and create each piece by considering how it the fabric and design will change over time allowing the garment to become more charming with wear.
