The Chichen is a slip-on sandal with open-toe design and a fixed heel strap in the back. Handmade in Mexico by indigenous artisans using traditional huarache making equipments and techniques. The Chamula huarache features old-world craftsmanship and intensely considered designs.

Inspired by designer Yuki Matsuda’s travels through rural Mexico in the 1990s, Chamula strives to preserve the art of delicately-made goods in highlands of Mexico. Each Chamula product is imbued with the delightful variances and rich character that can only be achieved through the careful handiwork of master craftspeople.

For most in-stock, full-priced items, you may return your purchase for an exchange or store credit if we receive the item back in the store within 7 days of delivery. A refund can be issued, but a 3.5% transaction fee and any shipping costs over the amount already paid will be deducted from the total.

For domestic shipping, Shop Boswell uses USPS or UPS ground for a $12 flat fee for standard items and $18 for hats and heavier items. If the item is large or unusually heavy, we will reach out to the customer for an additional shipping fee.
